FWIW, your friend may want to consider staying at Southern if he indeed ended up crushing his 1L year there. His job prospects may potentially be better if he were to graduate within the top 1-5% of his class at SU, rather than in the top half of his class at LSU.

, I doubt it's possible to get the score he would need to counter his 3.0 GPA.

I went to Southern and I had a firm recruit me two weeks after taking the Bar... that I eventually failed
kept the job and am still here, though
Just tell your friend to be more like me.

my son has a 3.34 and a 164, full ride for SULC? what kind of scholarship could he get for LsuLS
i had a slightly better lsat, 2.9 in nonsense, and applied in may. got in at lsu, full ride.
i don't know how much weight other factors carry, but i did have a significant gpa climb later in undergrad and a few years of professional work experience with solid references.

What are the chances of transferring to Harvard from Bossier Parish Community College?

I've heard LSU has only taken one transfer in its entire long and storied history and that was one John Randall Trahan
Randy transferred from Harvard i believe, but LSU standards were much lower then. today? not sure.
I believe Linda Law Clark was #1 in her class at SLU and transferred in, but don't know for sure.
