I’m looking at getting back into online poker…haven’t played on line since they shut everything down…
Need a site that’s legal, safe and easy to use…

My initial research looks like Bovada is a good choice…
Any feedback appreciated.

I too thought Bovada was the the right answer, they do a good job marketing but it seems to end there. Played a little while, winning and losing here and there…when I finally built my acct up enough to want to cash out around $1200, got my check in the mail (they are big in crypto and I didn’t have any at the time) it was from a bank in Canada I think, my bank wouldn’t touch it. Even took it to a sketchy check cashing joint that charged 18% and they said hell no lol. Ended up throwing it away eventually. Initial deposit was only $100 so I didn’t really lose much but I’d make sure I could get my winnings before I went too deep in

Note: my experience was a few years ago so they may have changed their ways since them

Had the same situation at least 3-4 years ago and my rural bank had no problem with the Canadian check

Guess I got lucky

Poker is not worth your time, unless you’re at a casino for an event/trip and just need to kill some time. Trust me.

I used to use Bovada for sports betting before it was legalized in Louisiana and I also got a check in the mail from a Canadian bank and had no problem when I took it to Region’s. You can probably play poker at the online casinos on Bet MGM and Barstool

I can’t get into online poker. At least not with real money. I feel it’s too easy to rig a computer to ensure you lose

I only trust a real deck of cards

I don't play online anymore, but did for years up until about 6 months ago. I played bovada and ignition and never had an issue cashing a paper check at my bank. I couldn't do an online check deposit, but never had trouble taking them to the bank and depositing there.

I played at "Full Tilt" way back in the day. Haven't played in many years, though.

I started out with play money. Then I was able to cash in a bunch of play money for a few real dollars. So I played very small stakes with that money and worked up slowly. Before I was done I had about $1 grand. So I went from zero to a grand, I was happy.

Apps are where it's at these days. Private clubs with fish as far as the eye can see.

I play on pokerrr2 in a club and very rarely on Poker Bros. Rake is way too high on PB.

I used to play Full Tilt by in the day myself. Isn’t it still Illegal in Louisiana? I just feel like it too many hoops to jump through to get your money now

Global Poker. It’s set up as a loop whole. Technically you buy play money but when you do they gift you real money to gamble with. Can also cash out with gift cards to avoid banks.
