Looking for a new dog (preferably a puppy), and I was thinking about getting a Shepard mix or potentially a Collie but I'm open to any breed that's a good dog

ETA: Looking for a medium sized dog, well behaved, shed or non shed is fine. Good around people as well

I have an Australian shepherd he's pretty cool. Sheds like a son of a bitch tho.

It would probably be best to tell us what you are looking for in a dog. The answer is greatly dependent upon whether you want a large or small breed, one that hunts, one that prefers to lounge a lot, one that is a good watch dog, one that is great around kids and other animals, etc etc etc.

I went to the pound the other day and saw a beautiful Australian. I was tempted to adopt him but girlfriend told me to hold off

We groom ours 3 times a year and it's not too mad. Helps to take out the undercoat.

Anyone know what a labradoodle puppy is going for in the BR area these days? My folks said they were thinking about getting one.
