At work when someone says "ping me later" instead of message them.

I also hate when people use more words to say some simple shite to make themselves sound smarter.

White boy. That expression is a racial term used by AA's. No different than a white man calling a black man the N word.

Unfortunately, it has caught on and now it is spoken all the time.

Just my 2 cents.

I consider it quite trashy when the lady of a dating couple without kids refers to her boyfriend as daddy. I'm cool with pet names, but "daddy" just seems stupid.

I also think it is stupid when people refer to themselves as mom or dad of their pets. Or when they say that they are the pet's "person."

Overuse of the word "
like".

Also, preventative instead of preventive.

What a horrible affectation, I can't stand it. Have an up vote.

When at lunch and a person mentions everything they do with the meal.

I'm gonna try this first.
I'll put salt on this because it looks like it needs it.
Lemme taste my drink.
I'll cut this in half and eat the rest later.
Lemme add some mayonnaise on this.
I'll pour some ketchup and dip this in it.
I'll eat this next.

Like I care what you may do or want to do with your food. Not sure why, but maybe the person is thinking out loud.

Grrrrrrrr!

Found my entry.

When somebody says such an obvious lie to try and look all badass.

Would you call "so" an affectation or a vocal disfluency?

I can't watch Shark Tank anymore because of this.

I have also noticed it is more popular with California people.
