I think Will Smith is doing just fine without The Matrix. What a horrible example

There are a million people in NWA who claim they or their father or their grandfather were approached about investing in a local discount store that ended up becoming Walmart and passed on the opportunity.
Who knows how many are telling the truth, but I'd hazard a guess that those who are kick themselves every chance they get.

Will Smith turned down the role of Neo to make Wild Wild West, because of skepticism over the film's ambitious bullet time special effects.[16] He later stated he was "not mature enough as an actor" at that time,[16] and that if given the role, he "would have messed it up".[17][18] Nicolas Cage also turned down the part because of "family obligations".[19] Warner Bros. sought Brad Pitt or Val Kilmer for the role. When both declined, the studio pushed for Reeves, who won the role over Johnny Depp, the Wachowskis' first choice.[20]

So you want an America without blacks, got it
This might be the quickest a poster has ever proven a point on TD about someone playing the race card based on preconceived ideals.

As I've written before, Frank DeFord went on CNN sports and said the Bulls shouldn't be complaining about picking #3, since Michael Jordan might turn out to be pretty good himself.

Hitler not listening to his field marshals. Kind of a good mistake for us.

If you think Obama inherited a mess, just wait to see what is left when your messiah leaves office.

NC soldiers shooting Stonewall Jackson. To be fair, he looked like a Yankee.

Yep. That didn't raise the Television contract or anything.

Another one that is a bit more domestic, George McClellan's instistance on not pressing General Lee's outnumbered forces after the Battle of Antietam which most likely would have ended the Civil War two and a half years early.
