FWIW, I live in LP and work in BR. I lived in BR for a few years after school, but moved to LP a few years ago. I would much rather spend the additional $400/month in gas for my commute than live in BR.

Wait you are the second person that has mentioned good schools in LP. How can the majority of the people in the parish be white trash, but they still have good schools? I kinda want to say they are mutually exclusive. Is school even a priority for white trash kids?

Mostly BR types jealous of the better quality of life we enjoy over in LP. Cheaper cost of living, more spread out, and a reasonable population the majority of whom are honest church-going folk.

If it makes you feel better I think both LP and BR suck, but at least BR has Saturdays in the fall that draw interest from me. I have literally zero reason to entertain LP.
