after your Tuscaloosa show, you can head to Birmingham for Phish (sat & sun)!

It's been years since I have lived there. But it was really good when we went.

Someone above mentioned Jalepno's. That place brings back some memories for me too. I used to meet my wife there after she got of her shift at UAB on the weekends. Decent food and decent maragritas for a good price.

If the usual answers are crowded for the game, the Sanctuary is a good new spot

Jack Browns, jalapeños downtown, and Avenue pub will be great options in terms of food and location to the venue

The Oasis in Cottondale

City Cafe in Northport

Tuscaloosa always has about 4-5 good fine-ish dining restaurants, but they all rotate and close in 5 years (except Chucks, which has been around 20 years but is actually kind of mid).

Thanks for the tips on restaurants and parking.

Wound up thanks to your recommendation at Pub Avenue. Burger was real good. Beef was seasoned well, something I"m not used to in Jackson where they all just cook the meat then pile stuff on top of it. Had a real flavor.

Parking wound up being fine. We got there about 90 minutes before the show started so we managed to snag one of the few amphitheater parking lots. They also ran shuttle service all night long with golf carts. Was real nice.

Amphitheatre is real nice and just like the one in Brandon. Brandon used the same architects and visited Tuscaloosa. Its Mayor helped Brandon's mayor. Brandon made some improvements on the original designs such as larger bathrooms and more loading docks for trucks. Brandon can handle 7 trucks unloading at the same time at 3 exchange locations, a huge deal for bands as Tuscaloosa has half that.

Funny thing. Tuscaloosa built it on a landfill. Had to spend $5 million before it ever started on the foundation.

Poppy and Evanescence put on a great show. Damn, Amy Lee has a voice. A real one, not that auto tone crap.
