Blood Meridian is what I imagine an 8th grader trying way too hard would come up with. Terrible book. Very very basic.
It is so bad yet people always list it on here as one of their favorite books, I don't get it

It wasn't his writing style it was the content for the most part with Blood Meridian. His style is what kept me reading.
I agree the content was horrible. Walk into town, fight, walk across the desert, fight indians and then he just repeated that over and over and over and over. His style is miserable in that book though. I hate that he never uses quotes when people are speaking, it makes it so hard to follow along with who is saying what. He also used his thesaurus way too much but I guess you need to when you are describing the same shite over and over and over again.

Robert Parker has a lot of books out, with 2-3 different main characters, but the same premise with a twist each time: small town cop/PI type books. David Balduchi (?) ia another.

The book is always better than the movie.... When's the last time you read a book that was based on a movie? Never, There is a reason for that

With that statement, it makes me feel like you imagined the 8th grade altogether.

Or, you didn't read the book, just regurgitating "fashionable language"
