I want my old light bulbs back. I don't like the color of the new ones. The old ones were way cheaper, looked better light wise. Why can't I decide if I want to be "energy efficient". Can't believe GW Bush did this.

Tecmo Bowl

Neaux way on this. Tecmo fans hacked the original so you can play with updated rosters, college teams, or all time greats. That's an awesome improvement. You can even get custom NES cartridges if you want, but the NES is the system that works best on emulators.

Old cars sucked, they may have looked great and made of steel but were not nearly reliable and definitely did not last as cars now.

There's no need for a computer circuit board to run an agitator/spinner motor device and a simple water pump. What they've done to those devices (which would easily last 20-30 years without a hitch) is abominable.

Same for a refrigerator, a thermostat, and relays, was all that was needed, would last for 30 years, I am on my 3rd frig in 10 years all because the processor boards keep crapping out.

OLED will be better

It is right now. It's just not at the right price point yet.

That's arguable. LG's OLED sets are criticized for vignetting, banding, and losing detail in low APL (near-black) scenes. My 2013 Panasonic plasma OTOH excels in low APL, though it doesn't get completely black like OLED.

That's the thing. Only LG had OLED's in 2015. Panasonic has some models for 2016 and Samsung is supposed to be re entering the OLED market in 2017. Definitely mfg kinks to be worked out before they become feasible on a large scale.

To SFP's point, Plasmas offered better pq than most current LED backlit LCD's

I just hope my ST60 lasts until OLED gets the kinks worked out. I would hate to have to replace it with any LCD, and I know the current OLED artifacts reviewers describe would piss me off, too.
