The Trump thing in downtown NOLA was always bullshite. The reason why it was never built was because the Trump Organization was never serious. The city and state at the time would have given Trump EVERYTHING they wanted. Same with a few projects advertised at the time. There was one advertised on Jefferson Hwy by Ochsner that was supposed to be fantastic looking. JP was all over it, when it came time to move on it, JP could not get phone calls returned.
There is a lack of big money partners in the area.

Something about niche supercars is just relentlessly depressing. Panteras, Consuliers, Deloreans, Bricklins... oof. Feel bad for the rich idiots who dump all that cash just for the privilege of saying "no" to "is that a Ferrari?"

honestly couldn’t care less about Buccee’s. IMO a gas station is not worth the tax incentives they they demanded. Louisiana was right to tell them no.
I am willing to bet the attempted fleecing by elected officials drove them away well before any negotiations of a tax incentive became an issue.

Wasn't there a Nissan plant that ultimately built in Miss.?
And the rock and roll hall of fame. Nola lost out to fricking Cleveland.

That plant just rusted there outside of Monroe dormant for years
My BIL bought a house that was the result of the closure of that Guide plant.
He moved elsewhere.
