This is the most overstated thing in the South I think. Also has been discussed on this board by others. I may say "can we stop at that gas station I want to get a coke" and then buy a Dr. Pepper.
But the whole "I'll have a coke" and then the waitress says "sweetie what kind" hypo is so overplayed and yet rarely ever happens like that.
