One of my closest friends is a neurologist specializing in aging and its effect on the brain.
We were grabbing a beer recently and I asked him this exact question… without hesitation he said “75.” He said that’s the universal age where he sees his patients neurological system deterrioate and they are not able to live life the way that they want. He said of course there are outliers but whenever he sees patients, it seems like they start to breakdown neurologically at 75
He then went on and said something along the lines of “we can keep you alive much longer, but based on what I see, dying at 75 ain’t a bad way to go.”
