Can we quit calling being a politician service specifically when in all cases person doing comes out better financially?

in mccains case he changed history and lied about the events of his service and covered up his disgraceful actions to falsely claim himself to be a hero and out of respect for what he went through no one called him out on it.

did he suffer yes, but did he sing like a stool pigeon, oh yes he did and continued to tell and do anything they asked of him while in captivity. while that is understandable under the circumstances it is called doing what you have to do to survive, that is not being a hero by any strectch

But the thing is, are they really disrespecting every single American soldier? Look, I think the reason Kaepernick started kneeling in the first place had nothing to do with the reason he says he did it for.

The Spring before the season he started kneeling, he made comments about not wanting to play for Chip Kelly. He wanted out of SF and I honestly think he was just trying to get cut by them in order to get out of his contract. There were quite a few former NFL players who said that if he was truly fighting for his position, he would be focused on that and nothing else.

With that said, the reason he started kneeling is because a veterian suggested he do so rather than sit down during the national anthem.

It has nothing to do with disrespecting the military.

I'm going to go with neither.

A is more of an employee/employer free speech issue than anything else and B had more to do with the "war hero"'s conduct in elected office than his tenure in prison. This is a cheap political framing that pushes a false dichotomy based on a false premise.

Trump said being a prisoner doesn't make you heroic.

If you listen to some who were with him in the prison camp he sucked. Others that were there say he was a hero.

Staying in a job when you are no longer able to do it is not service. It is a hindrance to those around you. It was caused by arrogance.

The opposition loved him for voting with them and are honoring him on their networks.

With whom? Let me get this straight, you give two choices where, no matter what is chosen, you get to add your two cents as the oppositional defiant guy. In short, at least to me, this is about not about conversation. If you have your opinion, cool.

ETA...you set a shiny hook!
My congratulations.
