I only know of some, but one is not me. I'll enjoy my Saints season tickets despite ignorant asses who kneel. There are poorly educated lemmings in every organization on Earth. I don't let them ruin it for me.

Protesting the flag/national anthem is an intentional diminishment of a cultural ritual of united purpose. It’s a sign that you “otherize” yourself from the national collective and it’s a disrespect and lack of appreciation of the good things that our nation has to offer. It is highly narcissistic and intentionally irritating to the majority of your fellow countrymen.

Showing disrespect to a single person who led an amazing life, and served his country well, but who was also controversial and disliked by many for his contradictory positions is unmannerly and lacks humility, but it is far less offensive than intentionally denigrating a unifying symbol of your country for the specific purpose of agitating the largest possible number of fellow citizens.

I have very little respect for Senator McCain. I regret voting for him and think he turned into a real POS who was apparently working to take down POTUS. Shameful.

I greatly respect Soldier McCain for his service and his bravery and think DJT was out of line for his comment “i like soldiers who don’t get captured”. Incredibly insensitive, especially coming from a guy who avoided his civic duty to serve. But that was a disrespectful insult to one individual.

The faux outrage shown by the employees of the NFL teams on company time, with little to no activism beyond their activities while on the clock, disrespects an entire nation, its symbol and the brave men and women who risked or lost their lives defending our freedoms. It is a bullshite cause in the first place being pushed by guys who are trying to do nothing more than draw attention to themselves. They have a First A right to protest and to therefore be free from government action as a result. They’re not free from private employer or public reactions/actions.

So I think A is more disrespectful given the broader scope of the intended recipient..

I guess i respected him at that point enough to vote for him. Maybe i was young and dumb, as opposed to currently older yet still dumb. lol. But he definitely changed drastically since 2008, really since 2016, and my respect for him diminished greatly.

A - Disrespecting every single American solider that ever lost their life for this country

B - Disrespecting one individual that didn't lose their life in service for this country

You tell me.

Forget the NFL crap. That's not even real life in my book.

This man was very well connected, and certainly could have stayed stateside, had he chosen to (like Bush). But he chose to serve in the war and was shot down and almost lost his life while bombing North Vietnam. Then he was tortured and remained imprisoned for five and a half years in the Hanoi Hilton.

His military decorations and awards include the Silver Star, two Legions of Merit, the Distinguished Flying Cross, three Bronze Star Medals, two Purple Hearts, two Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals, and the Prisoner of War Medal.

If that doesn't earn you some respect on the day you leave this earth, no matter what your politics were, then I don't know what does. The people that are disrespecting this man are no better than the shitheads that spit on our troops when they returned from that war. Yet they claim to be good Americans.

Wish all those old fricks in D.C. would die!!!

Being a senator or a congressman is supposed to be a public service, not a fricking career where the majority of the money made is kick backs and lobbyist money paid to you for votes on bills.

frick 'EM ALL!!!

No difference between the two

But the libs will ignore the names of school shooting victims and demand gun sales be more regulated........hours after the shooting takes place.

Before the bodies are cold.

How did you end up there?

The correct answer is both btw. To choose one depends on the context, number of instances, and degree.

He served this country in more than one way for many years and while I didn’t always agree with him I won’t speak ill of him after his death.

I've yet to understand the logic in protesting during the anthem. The USA is the greatest country the world has ever seen. No other time in history has man kind seen the prosperity or freedom we enjoy today. Citizen should get on there knees every morning and thank the lord they live in this great country.

John McCain is not a war hero, he was a traitor to his country, his party and the American people.

Ehhh... the guy used family influence to become a fighter pilot even though he sucked at it, crashed a bunch of planes, got captured by the North, and immediately sold out to help them. There are a lot of vets who would dispute calling McCain a war hero. In fact, they call him “songbird” because after he was captured he made anti-American radio broadcasts on behalf of the North.

Plus, he went on to found ISIS.
