It only counts if you pay for your immunity.

Why didn’t you trust your natural immunity for all the other vaccines you’ve gotten in your life?

I have for influenza, no vaccine with 100% success of no infection.

Not the same question. The virus attacks at a cellular level. Something determines whether it affects a person or not - certainly could be biological/genetic. We will never know because people don't study things that are relevant. There probably are some people who this thing would never impact.

Your getting downvoted because people don't want to hear the truth.

Well the OP got it wrong in that if you were asymptotic with COVID, you probably don’t have useful antibodies, which accounts for a lot of reinfections.

This could be solved with a simple antibody test, which to me, seems like something more effective than a 3 day old negative test.

But I’m a moron, so

They should at least let antibody tests count as being vaccinated when they require proof of vaccination

Antibodies don't last though. What about the memory T-cells?

Memory B cells as well. So your T-cell do two things, they help the Memory B-Cell make the antibodies. Then of the other side, some T-Cells will directly attack the and kill the virus. It's these T-Cells that go nut in Cytokine Storms

Did you even read the article. It literally full of conjecture and very little actual substance. The study linked says symptomatic Covid infection did show substantial ability to resist further infection.

The study/report literally never references symptoms once.

Immunity to reinfection is believed to last about 90 days.

Could there be a feasible test to test for this?

Hot off the press:

Durability of SARS-CoV-2-specific T cell responses at 12-months post-infection

quote:

Results. SARS-CoV-2-specific antibodies and T cells were detected at 12-months post-infection. Severity of acute illness was associated with higher frequencies of SARS-CoV-2-specific CD4 T cells and antibodies at 12-months

In fact, a study published by the CDC on August 6 compared reinfection rates of people who had previously had COVID-19 and found that unvaccinated individuals were more than twice as likely to be reinfected than fully vaccinated individuals.

That study literally used an antigen test as proof of "reinfection." Without any consideration for symptoms.

If the result were reversed, they'd be praising twice the immunity, as proved by twice as many people with long term presence of antibodies.

Case-patients were eligible for inclusion if initial infection occurred during
March–December 2020, and a subsequent positive nucleic acid amplification
or antigen test result was received during May–June 2021

That should be proof of natural immunity...in a sane world.

Another telling thing is how they want unvaccinated donors for the monoclonal antibody treatment.

Having one strand of covid doesnt give you immunity to other strands.
