Westboro has been doing this regularly, in hostile environments, for years. I'm pretty sure they've seen everything that would be thrown at them.
Just ignore them, plus I'm sure patriot guard or something similar will help keep them away from most.

I doubt they do. Nowadays they often just say this shite to get in the media but hardly follow up on it. Last time they came to Lousiana they had a really hard time so I would be shocked if they came again.

They came to Nicholls to protest the Gay/Straight alliance that some of the students had formed. But they said the pope was in hell (PJP2 had died maybe a month before), soldiers deserved to die, America deserved 9/11, etc.
We went watch the spectacle to see if anyone would beat their arse, but the gays did one better than that; they made a few of them cry. I want to say someone high up in their church had just died of cancer or something like that, and they yelled "he got cancer because he was a closet gay and according to yall only gays get cancer. Probably getting buttfricked by satan and enjoying it right now"
There was also about a 5 y/o kid holding some inflammatory sign, and they started calling him a mistake and a fgt and other stuff. Kid and mom started bawling and had to leave by police escort.
It was brutal. The gays had done their homework and were going for the jugular.
