It's perfectly reasonable to not want a party on your dead loved ones grave
I don't think the dead person will mind.

There it is. Can't have anything "different"!

Hell it aint even that different from Halloween besides the celebrating relatives that have passed as part of their dressup

Louisiana people get freaked out when they see Mexicans doing something that doesn't involve serving others.

Really shitty bro. It'd be the same in South Carolina

Maybe I can go snag some tamales while they are there

Nobody parties like the dead.

Nothing like food trucks to celebrate. While we're at it let's bring in some carnival rides and put a huge circus tent over the graves.
Not joking either…they actually have a car show planned for this event

Does this cemetery ever host a Halloween party? Doubt it.

What's wrong with all that shite?
You know dead people don't care. You know that don't you? They're dead. They have zero ability to care about any of this.

Cemeteries aren’t for dead people. They’re for the families of the dead to pay their respects.

My in-laws (89 and 86) just bought a plot in the mausoleum at Westlawn. I’m sure my MIL is having a seizure over this, but honestly, she could use a little levity in her life that doesn’t involve drinking white wine from noon until bedtime.
A good gauge for this type of thing: WWFFD? (What would Freddy Fender do?)
I’ll allow it.

Meh. White Victorians used to go to cemeteries every weekend and party as hard as white Victorians could party. I don't plan on being buried, but if I were, I'd be honored if they had a low-rider show and mariachi band over my grave. Put a cerveza and few al pastor tacos on my tombstone while you're there.

I own a plot beside my wife at a Mausoleum in Birmingham. While seeing the plot for the first time before burying my wife .......There was a family celebration taking place in the sanctuary of the Mausoleum. The salesman was horrified ...."Why do you feel insulted?" "No one here is listening ....no one cares .....Let the family celebrate the life .....If I am watching from up above, I'll be dancing with the family."
Otherwise the entire cemetery is crickets .......

Well that's what they're filled with. If we're not going to incinerate them all, then they have to be put somewhere.
But to your point, nothing is stopping anybody from paying their respects, even though dead people lack the capacity to give even the slightest shite if respects are paid or not, and they lack that capacity because they're dead.
And secondly, it's good to see some otherwise useless real estate get a little action. I don't have Facebook. Is the cemetery getting paid for this, or are they trading day use for some free landscaping?

The people that are complaining about this aren't worried about the dead, they are just upset that they aren't the center of the universe.
