But but but all that gas contributing to GW, er climate change!
It's all just Oxygen and Hydrogen, in a liquid state, held at a temp hovering in the mid to high NEGATIVE 200's.

Cdan put that lotion away and that picture of that rocket son. It is time to sleep.
That rocket will be there in the morning

So then it fits the latest narrative. We are helping with the cooling period??

Just saw a clip of what your video has in the OP on the national news this morning. However, I didn't see anyone that looked like you in the crowd

I worked at the test facility in the mid/late 60's during the Apollo program when they were testing the 1st and 2nd stage of the Saturn 5 and yes-it was amazing. If you thought this test was impressive, the sound and pressure level of igniting the 1st stage of a Saturn 5 rocket was mind boggling. One F-1 engine of the Saturn 5 1st stage had 3 times the thrust of one of these puppies !! and there were 5 of them attached to the bottom of the booster !! The F-1 used RP-1 and LOX and produced a massive black plume. While viewing the test, you're pant legs would actually flap back and forth from the pressure levels-an experience that will stay with you for the rest of your life. The oxidizer turbine pump on just one of these F-1 engines could empty an average size swimming pool in about 1 minute-around 25,000 gpm.

This was basically a sustained,controlled explosion !!

Don't those engine tests cause it to rain?
Posted on 8/14/15 at 11:26 am to Kracka
I think so. They basically create clouds, no?
Posted on 8/14/15 at 11:31 am to Old Money
I want to say someone posted a video right after a test one time, and it was raining down range where the cloud plumes were directed.

Never observed any raining after a test of the 2nd stage of the Saturn 5. This stage also used LOX and liquid hydrogen.

BONER ALERT
Saturn V first stage test
Serious question. I am pretty dumb when it comes to flying and rockets and stuff, but how do they keep these test buildings in tact? Those rockets are producing enough thrust for launch, how doe the buildings not come apart?

Thanks for the link-brought back many memories-notice how the stationery camera was shaking !! These test structures are enormous with massive foundations embedded deep in the ground. The bottom of the stand has a huge flame deflection shield where thousands of gallons of water are pumped in during a test to prevent the shield from melting due to high temperatures. The test facility in Mississippi used to offer tours which included a tour of the test stands- not sure if they still do this but if you are in the area, I would highly recommend it.

The F-1 is my favorite:
Imagine what five of them look like in a pretty cluster.

How many carbon credits did that cost us?
