I don't understand why they were killing off all the poultry, pigs, beef, dumping dairy etc. did we run out of climate controlled warehouse space? I know the demand was down due to the restaurant industry being temporarily closed, but you knew it was just temporary and that demand would be higher than ever when it all opened back up. I don't see how fast food chains didn't corner the market on frozen beef patties. Did they get all their meat from China or something?

You can't just store stuff indefinitely when you have more stuff coming in. It's the exact same thing happening to oil right now.
Say you have a contract to buy 600 chickens from Farm X a month and you can store 300 chickens in your warehouse. Restaurants buy 350 chickens so you'll never be at capacity. You aren't meant to. You're "midstream." You're getting it from point A to points C-Z as a distributor.
Then the restaurants reduce their purchases by half. 600 coming in with 125 going out so you net +475 chickens a month and run out of space so you have to throw them out or they'll spoil. You can't just keep it because you know this is temporary. It has a shelf life.

I remember when the Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger was a dollar in high school. Would load up on those before binge drinking the weekend away. 
I hope Wendy’s goes under. I hadn’t been to a Wendy’s in years and saw the price is almost 3 dollars for the same burger now.
Their employees can make more off unemployment anyway.

I’m talking 2004-2005 here, not the 70s,80s, or 90s. How come McDonalds still has the same shite on the dollar menu from the same timeframe? You can go to Five Guys and get a meal for maybe 2 dollars more than it costs to go to Wendys now for a much better burger and a ton more fries. Same thing for Taco Bell and Chipotle. When those shitty products cost almost as much as a much better product, there is a problem. I guess you’re paying for convenience?

I don't eat fast food very often but a 5 guys burger, fries and a drink is like $15. You can definitely eat at Wendy's for a lot less.
