re: Welp I’ll never buy another Nike product

Honestly it really doesn't matter, and we all know it's not Nike giving him a platform...it's Nike trying to make money off of this "movement". If you think their stuff is comfortable wear it. Adidas and Under Armour have really done will in sports clothing the last few years so they had to do something big.

I didn't say anyone was melting or give an opinion on nike.
I just found it rather ironic that someone would preach about values of kids in sweatshops vs purchasing nike products as they pecked away on a keyboard made in a damn sweat shop.
Nothing internet badass about that, slugger.
I was agreeing with you retard

I have a meeting with Nike here today.
I suspect the people I deal with will not be happy with the marketing campaign. I think it’s stupid to align yourself with Kapernick. But it isn’t my company.
I’ll still use the pass they give me today to stock up on golf balls at the company store. They’re just going to end up at the bottom of a lake anyways.

Weird way to show agreement.

They really have though.
Much of my gym attire is either under armour or Target brand. Their athletic clothing is good.
Not a fan of their shoes though. I'll continue to buy Nikes because I don't give a shite about dumb stuff like this.

Is that why their stock price about half of what it was 2 years ago?

What if I told you it’s possible to have good quality product while still having a stock price that’s half of what it was 2 years ago?
Posted on 9/4/18 at 8:06 am to Mingo Was His NameO
Dunno, maybe it was too overly inflated for that 2 year Spike and is correcting back

It's possible, but that's not what he said. He said that UA has done things the last couple of years that were so good that Nike had to do this. Considering they are pulling in less revenue, I would say that is false.

By half while selling less shite? Highly unprobable at best.

That's certainly not what I said.
Maybe using 4 words where 20 are needed is a bit confusing. I meant that their sports clothing seems to be doing well. You see a lot more people wearing it over the past few years because it is good quality, comfortable, and fashionable.

I don't agree with the politics of any of this, but just ordered a pair of casual nike shoes on Saturday before all of this came out. Not like I'm going to cancel that over this BS. It's a shoe. Giving political power to something as stupid as clothing brand is the problem.

You sure about that?

In the last three years share price of each
Nike +49%
Adidas +221%
Adidas has almost taken over high school sports with uniforms, and are really getting into colleges. Kids buy what they see, and if their school uniforms and hoodies are adidas they want the shoes and socks to match.

Who are you quoting there?
Posted on 9/4/18 at 8:13 am to Mingo Was His NameO
Less diversified than Nike.
UA and Nike both took large hits in apparel in the last 5 years. Both seem to be recovering, UA particularly. They have tons of room for growth.
