Drews's theory is that the military ruling classes were taken out on the battlefield not by extraterrestrials, but by lower-class soldiers who developed and used the javelin as an anti-chariot weapon. The introduction of ridden horses (as opposed to chariots) followed in the yeas afterward, and new orders of society were established.

Theory 1: That the solar system goes through a thin disc of dark matter, which throws comets off their orbits and into earth. I read this on some website that I cannot remember since I read it a long time ago. The theory is that this happens in a regular cycle that seems to coincide with mass extinctions.

I'm high as giraffe balls so I'll indulge. Could you tell me what the time period is on this mass extinction cycle? Like how many years does the cycle take?

Now this is what I need right now. I'll load up another bowl if you elaborate on these alien events and cite examples

I just ordered Robert Drews' book. It sounds like interesting reading.

I hope that he discusses, at least, the theory that ancient aliens could have been involved (even if he attempts to debunk it).

Why ancient aliens? Could be the current aliens. We know very little of their life cycles

My initial reading was a link posted on geoengineering.com, a great website that has been shut down mysteriously. I ought to open a topic on that - hmmm, site talks about geoengineering, directed energy, weather manipulation, weather weaponry, chem trails and it mysteriously goes offline. I'm "sure" the government had nothing to do with it.

I found this which explains the cycles (though it is from NYU):

quote:

Previous studies have shown that Earth rotates around the disc-shaped Galaxy once every 250 million years. But the Earth’s path around the Galaxy is wavy, with the Sun and planets weaving through the crowded disc approximately every 30 million years. Analyzing the pattern of the Earth’s passes through the Galactic disc, Rampino notes that these disc passages seem to correlate with times of comet impacts and mass extinctions of life. The famous comet strike 66 million ago that led to the extinction of the dinosaurs is just one example.

Wow. That is very insightful and I don't think I've ever seen that issue brought up. Koi Fish live up to 200 years. We've doubled human longevity over a relatively short period of time. It would be mind boggling to meet an alien who had personally witnessed events four or five hundred years ago.

The thing that doesn't make sense is this was only about 15,000 and doesn't match up with the 30 million year timeline.

Methuselah lived for almost a millennium. I bet you will quickly reject that, though.

That would seem to ruin the dark matter theory.

I'm hoping the book will shed some light. I am the first to admit (at least now LOL) that not everything is some theory that some would believe to be exotic.

BUT, if you look at what goes on now, without any dispute, you could see why I'm a skeptic about conventional explanations (but I love trying to solve a mystery). Chemtrails are above us every clear day, but no one seems to care. A website that discusses this type of scandal mysteriously goes offline (some of the internet savvy people here need to get to the bottom of it). Climate manipulation evidence is routinely ignored.

I'm not an atheist. And, if you believe in many of the ancient mysteries (as I do) why would you discount biblical stories?

ETA: I also like going to the right type of church, as it can give you comfort in a sketchy and evil world.

You mean fairly radical explanations of ancient mysteries?

There is nothing "radical" about ancient alien oriented explanations. But, I read about all explanations. I promise you I will read the book I just ordered cover to cover. I enjoy reading about mysteries that have no agreed explanation.

This hits close to home. I watched a TV show about this the other night.
