What is being "shite" on again?

Man, I knew some people on this site were dumb, but this post seems to have hailed the short bus.

Does anyone actually believe they sent 10 billion dollars and 2 decades worth of work and strapped it on a payload skeeted it out into the deep dark void only to be taken out by snot Rocket from space a few months into it's operation.
A "asteroid pebble" allegedly hit the Webb.
But yes -- these NASA fanbois believe everything they're told. Afterall, it's no less official "Canon" than Star Wars/Star Trek "history" and "science".
When the Hubble was first released, IT also experienced a malfnction.

Easy, partner, the Earth is still flat. Don't shoot a comrade.

If so basic explain 500 million to 10 billion. Simple. Basic. Happens all the time.
Go ahead. Explain this one. Should be easy to explain. Oh, wait….inflation? Cost of oil went up? No, wait … those working on it got a pay raise. Bonuses!!! That’s why it cost 20 times more!!! None of the above? Damn! What could it be?
If so easy and basic you should be able to help us out here to understand that type of easily explained cost overrun. I’ll hang up and listen. I bet you come back with a smart arse response but no rational explanation.

And down goes the Webb Telescope!

They will say: "Sh*t happens."
Like one stray "pebble" in the alleged "Lower Earf Orbit" destroying this 10 billion dollar boondoggle.
What are the odds??

The only ones who claim that it was taken out by anything are the conspiracy theorists in need of a new fix.
It degraded performance, but it’s still within mission tolerances.

Aliens did it.

The $500 million was for a concept telescope in 1996
The real overrun is about 2x, from $4.5 billion in 2005. I'm not defending the budget blowout but Hubble was even worse.
Hubble could be repaired though but James Webb is too far away if something really goes wrong.

There's no pebbles in low moon orbit, just earf. Or they got lucky. Or maybe the lunar lander employed the latest in 1960s tinfoil scotch tape anti-pebble technology. Idk

Jupiter...
Ever see THIS "image" said to be of Jupiter from The Hubble?
This one even has glowing "Auroras" at the supposed icecaps according to NASA.
People want so desperately to "see new stuff" in "deep space" that "justify the cost" of NASA's alleged Hubbel/Webb images and projects.

Hubble is in low earth orbit - JWST is at Lagrange point - try to keep up.

Well, WE know that. But official NASA / Astronomy canon can't ever allow any reasonable doubt and common sense questions to ever seep into the subconscious of TrueBelievers.

(You forgot the special anti-pebble construction paper and curtain rods tech too)

68gb device
I won't speculate on the cost of that drive, but the cost to test and certify it for the cold of space in those conditions probably cost in the neighborhood $5 Million or more.

What other NASA "space craft" are also said to be out there in Space" (whether "Low Earf Orbit" or making stops at other planets?)
What is the official ISS count?
How many "landers" and "helicopters" are on Mars?
And aren't there several NASA spacecraft touring and scouring the planets AND their respective moons? Not to mention the supposed older spacecraft that are said to have left the Solar System, only to recently have "lost transmission power"?
