've had issues with tmobile and text messages not getting delivered..sometimes they come in hours later.
I am ATT. It's only with Textra. I either use the native app or hangouts to send pictures. I usually just snap chat for pictures though.

Anyone know if there is a "pull to refresh" mod for Chrome?

Textra or GO SMS?
I like the notifications. That about sums it up for me.

Dunno if its been mentioned but allcast is an awesome new app that streams local content from your phone to either a Chromecast or xbox connected to your TV.

I'm just trying to find a way to watch Netflix on my works wifi.
I'll win life if that happens.

Also, what's the reasoning behind using an app like Textra or GO SMS? Is there something people dislike about the stock app? I've never noticed a problem.
Customization mostly. Also, Textra is just crazy light/fast.

I wish the hangouts app had better notifications. That is what I would use.

ive stuck with stock for about 2 years because i didnt care for any of the other text apps.
give textra a try for a few days..i just really like the fact you can tweak it slightly in the UI and the stock app feels lame now to me.

How exactly did plex violate you?
go read the reviews..they now want a monthly $$$ to keep up with their services so you can have chromecasting capabilities and you have to install more shite on your PC to talk to it.
they are also playing games..you download it for the chromecast capabilities only to find a 60 day (or longer) 'time out' period before you are allowed to use that.

if you already have windows media sharing on your network, install sitecom (tiny app) and BOOM, access to all those glorious 1080p BR rips and music from your phone.
i dislike apps that want me to install more crap on my PCs and configure it to work.

The chromecast for plex pass members only was a temporary thing. You can now cast without paying.

After its early access release to Plex Pass members, Chromecast support is now available to all Plex users as promised! Not familiar with the feature? Read up on the awesomeness that is Plex plus Chromecast. General availability is perfectly timed with a number of Chromecast updates:
Plex for Chromecast now supports music and photos, making your experience with the Google dongle even richer. The feature is available immediately via plex.tv/web, iOS, and Android.
Content Mirroring is now available. It allows you to fling the details of your media from your mobile device onto the big screen as you're browsing your library. You'll need the latest Android or iOS app for this to work.
Video streaming has been enhanced. It now allows for most 1080p content to stream without transcoding, and fixes some reliability issues with the older streaming method. Make sure you have the latest media server and enjoy!

Is it necessary to root a Nexus 5? I am an Android newb. Maybe necessary isn't the correct word I'm looking for, but will I gain a lot from rooting it?

I definitely plan on checking out sitecom

I think it depends on how heavy of a user you are. Nexus 5 runs on pure vanilla android. It's already light and fast. You also get updates regularly.

CAD703X,
I have disabled the settings menu for download as instructed but am not sure on the next step. Do I need to paste a specific url in my browser or go to the play store to find the file needed for pandora?
Device is not rooted (autodd03@yahoo.com)
