Don’t quite understand what you are asking. The stuff above, I paid $375, sold for $3906.
If you are asking me how much have I spent on junk that I couldn’t sale, the answer is very little, because I don’t buy crap hoping to make $10. There’s nothing wrong with that, there’s a lot of people that do that. That’s too much damn work.
This is my hobby, not business, so I look for “unicorns”, things for under $10, that’s worth more than $100.
If I buy something, 95% of the time, I sell it for at least the amount I paid for it.

For the items marked "selling", is this like Storage Wars where every piece of junk they pull out of the locker is priced at ridiculous amount that nobody would actually pay?

How do you do most of your selling (eBay, Etsy, Facebook marketplace, Craigslist, pawn shops, consignment, etc.)? Just curious.

I have at least 50 of those metal thomas the train cars, prob more. Are those collectable?

75% eBay. They have fees but it still the best place to get views
25% Facebook marketplace or collector pages. I’m trying to go more this way because it’s free. The Saints tickets I bought, I sold them on a Saint collectors page on FB. I kept all $780

Not collectible, but highly sought after.
I paid $40 for two large totes, with 100+ cars, a ton of track, and a lot of the buildings.
The cars bring (on average) $2-$3 each. I sold mine on a Thomas Train group on FB for $100+. The building went for around $20 each, and I gave the track away (they just paid the shipping, which was $60).
A few of the cars I had were rare, averaged $5-$10 each. Some were common, less than a dollar each. I could have sat them for weeks, selling one at a time. I don’t like doing that. I want the stuff I buy at garage sales gone within a week or two.

After WW2 (early 1950's), Kaywoodie was sold to a company that cheapened the product, and sold tens of millions of them in drug stores, etc. It would be like some company buying Rolls Royce and cranking out millions of economy cars.

Have some very sweet ones that were my son's. One of the best is Nolan Ryan's rookie card that is sign by him. Have a few more of his that are sign by him.
Just holding them for my grandson.
Have many old comic books too that are first editions in plastic.
