Killa 9 & Mysta Murda are great singers who would be great additions to any wedding event.

Bucktown All Stars there is no other answer. Niece had La Spice Band, they were ok but not my favorite. Snapper and the Fishsticks are pretty good too.

The Anteeks played my brother's wedding two years ago and they were really good. He got married in New Orleans and the reception was at The Columns. It was really nice and everyone had a great time.

Groovy 7 is hands down the best wedding band you can get.
Not only are they a great band, but they're high energy, and they will even learn a song or two for you. Delilah (lead singer and manager) is awesome to deal with and very nice.
They learned 2 by request for my wedding.

If money is not option you should try and get the Endless Summer Band. I've seen them a few times and they are great. They can cover several different types of music.

Just got married a few months ago and we had The Remixers play at our reception. Everyone had a blast and they were very easy to work with. Like most bands they take a break during the reception, but they have a DJ that continues to play during they break so there is no break in the music. They were surprisingly cheaper than expected and put one a hell of a show. Our photographer said that they were one of the best bands he has heard at a reception. They play at lauberge every couple of months.

No Idea is a good band. The singer, drummer, and guitar player were all in various local metal bands back in the '80s-'90s. Excellent musicians and the singer can still belt out a tune. He was recently doing side gigs with Sledgehammer (with Steve Blaze from Lillian Axe).
ETA: The singer, Troy Marks, replaced Phil Anselmo in Razor White when Phil left to join Pantera.
ETATE: If you go with No Idea, ask Troy to sing Back Seat Affair. That will get a good laugh out of him.

Flamethrowers FTW.
Sha'on is sketchy as hell pre-performance but she showed up and killed it.
