These storms racing down from the plains are so rare here. They typically don’t move south-southeast and make it this far. I’m used to storms coming off of the gulf. I’m ready for them to end, but do like how the temps drop to the lower 70s after. I’ve never liked gulf showers because it’s so humid when the sun comes back out. That doesn’t happen with these.

West Harrison getting rain and wind. Got the warning around 6:30. More noise than water right now.

Could use some of that rain here in central FL
Weather man here in Nola said it’s headed your way in the next few days. He commented that y’all needed rain.

Why isn't St. George recognized?

Part 2 shaping up.
Looking like BR is about to get rocked or maybe the Indian mounds save us again.

Everything and everyone shite the bed on that MCS yesterday. Both the HRRR and the NAM killed it well before it got to SE Louisiana. HRRR had the right solution the day before, but lost it as it got closer in time. Sometimes it bees dat way, but it isn't normal for everything to miss that badly.

Not a big line of storms but enough to do some damage… moving at 25 mph so it will get through pretty quickly.
Posted on 6/5/24 at 2:22 pm to LegendInMyMind
Its tricky because the outflow can simply sustain the MCS to the coast even if other forcing dies off. Early June airmasses got that sauce.

This is getting so annoying. Every day is hot as shite yet simultaneously dark and gloomy with electrical storms.

It was just interesting to see the HRRR have it nailed only to completely lose it less than 18 hours later. I mean it was like a switch flipped and turned it off.

Oh come on. This is infinitely better than last summer, endless sun with insane heat 24/7. Felt like living in Dallas without the benefits

So am I. These photos were taken by a lady outside of Mt. Hermon when that storm was coming in.
