With the discovery of GLP-1’s there is no excuse for this. The fatties should be turned away and invited back once the Ozempic has done its thing.
I thought about this the other day. Let's say the medication costs $200/month, heck the fattie would probably save near that much in food cost.
There's no reason for the obesity epidemic to continue. I think that folks know if they get on it they'd eat less and they love to eat more that they want to be healthy. We know there's one demographic that considers extreme obesity desirable.

The problem is that their body fat will always extent into the seat that's next to them, and ends up squishing the other person.

so you accept that being churlish to the 10 per cent that had no control over physical condition is okey. I do not think you should be around kittens and puppies either.

The harsh truth is most of the people that are fat enough to need a scooter are dumb and probably poor. Not the type to shell out money on something like a GLP-1 and they probably also are the type that don’t trust the medical system for an “experimental” drug.

A person needing a scooter isn’t this rationale. Plus they aren’t paying for groceries as most of these fatties are probably on food stamps.

The fats on the scooters are absolutely out of control. The earlier poster claiming this would be a bloody summer is right. I think the scooter army is ready for an uprising (metaphorically of sorts). I think this should extend to grocery stores and airlines and pretty much any other public place. You shouldn’t be allowed to enter if you can’t walk because of a weight issue.
If the cure for you being in a wheelchair is that you get up and walk more then its nothing more than stolen valor.

I have a suggestion that will help you instantly feel better about your local park experience:
Visit a few in Baton Rouge.
