I think people went more for the gimmicks and side promos than for the hockey, but they did draw them in for awhile

They already had the Brass.

If at first you don't succeed?

The Brass got pushed out of the arena to make room for the NBA.

Not that it's a bad trade (AA hockey for major league basketball). Just saying the Brass didn't really fail. They just didn't have a place to play.

Exciting sport where fighting is somewhat tolerated and a lot of players have French names.

That's true, but Ray Nagin was part owner so it was inevitable.

Zydeco games in Baton Rouge are a ton of fun.

As much as I would love to see a closer NHL team, 3 professional sports teams is a lot of competition for fan $$ in a small market.

What if we got rid of the Pelicans?

They’re shite anyway.

Because the Pelis are dogshit

If they were a 4 seed or something and Zion wasnt a fat slob then games would be well attended

If Nola gets a team can we at least not name them a gay name like this?

I wouldn't go to a Pelican's game for free tickets to the "best" game all season. I've lived in LA all my life and know zero people that care anything about the Pelicans.

Yeah, but way less in all areas.

Houston is where the franchise would make more money.

Atlanta is not a good hockey market long term.
