That is a terrible, terrible "investment."
Wait there is no lottery ETF.
That would be one volatile fund if there was one.

I couldn't resist buying a few tickets with the jackpot this big. You can't win unless you have skin in the game and every winner has been in the same headspace we are in right now, the morning before the drawing.
I can dream!
I can dream!

Nope. I can still do math
The math says that it's in your interest to play
So maybe you can't do math

279,269,971/tickets sold
279,269,971/292,201,338
95.57%
So there was only a 4.5% chance someone wouldn’t win?
That's a negative, ghost rider. Math incoming.
The odds that no play at all wins are the odds that a single independent play doesn't win all multiplied together.
The chance of a win is 1/292,201,338, or 0.00000000342%. the odds of not winning are 1 - 0.00000000342 = 0.99999999657.
0.99999999657 to the power of 279,269,971 is 0.384.
So, assuming a mostly random sample of plays, that's a fairly hefty 38% chance nobody wins that particular drawing.
Now you know how the jackpot can get as high as it does.

Use common core math now.

Can you buy tickets online if you don’t live in a participating state?
Posted on 11/7/22 at 6:24 pm to Gimme back that fish
You can technically but it can only be claimed in that state? I think. But im not sure.

I'm surprised it hasn't hit $2 billion yet.
Posted on 11/7/22 at 6:29 pm to tiggerthetooth
If no one wins tonight it'll be pushing like 2.5 billion

Told the clerk tonight that sold me the last losing ticket we were going to use reverse psychology tonight instead of me asking for winning numbers.
I told her to GIVE ME 5 OF THE SHITTIEST LINES YOU CAN PULL OUT OF YOUR arse WITH THE EXTENDED PLAY.
She laughed and told me she made sure she put the numbers in mad when she made my ticket.

Would you all really set up an LLC and all that prior to claiming?
I would be at the lottery office tomorrow turning that shite in. I would be terrified that I lose it, or get tracked down as the person who bought it and murdered.
I also would get lodging on the military base though as well after being announced to at least be somewhat secluded from everyday public for a period.
