BUT, my boys are pretty stout. Big, athletic kids and pretty fearless......especially one of them. The evil twin. At 6' 190lbs in 7th grade, they are a handful.
ETA: all BS aside, Trump is a POS, but we'll save that for the whacko poliboard.

Your story about your wife's classroom is exactly why I don't always agree with inclusion. Some kids have no business in a regular classroom. They're just distractions to the other kids. And I have a special needs son. But he's a sweetheart. I've seen those kids, and it sucks because there is next to nothing a teacher can do to get them out of the classroom unless they are violent. They can ruin the entire year and learning process for 20 other kids, but you better not step on their rights.

That aggravates me as well. It's why I think our educational system should be two tracked. College bound, Trade bound;once you hit high school; and that should't be a choice made by the student or his parents, but rather one made based on performance.
Some dipshit that doesn't care about learning Algebra shouldn't be allowed to sit in a classroom and prevent kids who DO care about learning Algebra from doing so just because "we gotta be fair to everyone"

These kids are NOT dipshits. They have lives filled with struggle. I'm hoping you are not being this callous.
Our school districts have great setups for inclusion classes to not disrupt other classes.

Eh. It's sticky. I've done IEP facilitation in the past. There really can't be a single rule, and the schools can't have that much power. Good kids will be screwed over. It should be case by case. But actual special education classrooms need to make a comeback IMO. Not just pull out services and kid corrals for comoletely non-functional children. There needs to be small classrooms for behavioral problem kids. They shouldn't be allowed to run wild and make life hell all year long for an entire class.

Our district has a program for behavioral kids....and its awful to see that group. Sad.

Problem is, most parents just take the approach that "kids will be kids" and expect patrons to deal with it.
There was a thread on here a year or so ago that went on and on with people arguing for and against letting kids do what they want in restaurants.
It was amazing to me how many people didn't give a shite about how their kid acted in public and just expected everyone to be okay with it.
