What skills and education do you need for said jobs? It’s not rocket science to work on an assembly line or in a plant

You see the maturity level of these animals who raise their hands in celebration when they turn over a car or get a rock through a window so they can just steal whatever they want. They fricking celebrate like they did something productive. It’s really sad.

The largest city that voted Republican in 2016 was OKC.
All cities, virtually, vote blue. Good and bad alike.

This is true. While going to school in Michigan at the time, anyone that was able to get into an assembly plant for autos were happy as shite. I could have driven like 10 miles to a plant and make a huge amount of money. Those days are long gone.

Do it your way, they’re your putative kids.
For the record: I’m batting 1000 on the way I raised mine though.

Detroit's fall began w/the '67 riots
Earlier than that. There were riots in 1943 during WWII. My grandfather moved his family out of Detroit in the fall of 1943 because he could see what was coming. It was a tough thing to do with gas rationing and it took them 10 days to go less than 1,000 miles.
ETA - He was an electrician at a Ford plant and moved to work at a different Ford plant. Both were building bombers.

The problem is you are dealing with just that. Unconscious people living their entire life from their addled, confused mind. They see everything and everyone as the enemy.

This appears to be a natural resetting based on social media rhetoric.
I'm so tired of the faux outrage, maybe burning a couple of cities will change some minds.

Back in the 70’s Detroit had over 1million people . I know things have changed an people move to the suburbs, but what happened to Detroit was awful. The inner city people said screw it. That’s why as of this past year had a population of under the million mark. That takes away a lot of federal funds.... the riots back in the 60’s started this movement.

Maybe. Many of them have been revitalizing at breakneck pace compared to how they were in the 70s and 80s. I’m curious if this will slow that momentum.
Remember that apartment building that was burned to the ground in Minnieparis? There was some scholar screaming "we don't want you! 1500 dollar rent?!?! We don't want you! This is our 'hood!" as he livestreamed it burning.
Obviously a big fan of gentrification.

Maybe most people will eventually say to themselves, "we made things harder for ourselves because we tried to pander to people who will NEVER be satisfied. Why did we do that? frick that. Never again"
