Quick Facebook search, this guy definitely has a type...

Reading this and seeing this guy’s picture, makes me realize just how little I watch of ANY local news.
His mug shot is the first time I have ever seen this guy.
I really have no idea who the news personalities are on any of the channels now.
Actually proud of myself. Shows how much I really have taken myself away from that shithole.

Mike Longman liked to watch diddling teenage boys like a catholic priest while snorting cocaine.
A buddy of mine from Carencro got married in Carencro. Me and a couple of other friends made a road trip for the wedding. We stayed at the Hilton, I think, In Lafayette. Just so happen to be the same day as the 1999 Governer's election with incumbent Mike Foster and William Jefferson and it was the same hotel where Foster's election day headquarters were located, so there was a bunch of news people there.
After the wedding we were all hanging out at the hotel bar where Mike Longman offered to buy me a drink, I was like no thanks because we all knew Mike was a big flamer.
That story of him with the 15 y/ kid and the cocaine came out the following January... I knew the guy was gay, didn't know he was a kid diddler.

if you drive down Barataria past Ames, that might be the nicest area in the metro. The houses start getting really nice past the dollar store and like almost the biggest house that I have ever seen is ducked off in one of those subdivisions.

People hate on the westbank, but you don't have to move in English Turn or Stonebridge to be comfortable. Those places are old. Back of Barataria and Belle Chase is where new money goes if they want to stay near the city. Of course Northshore is always an option also, but I'd drive to Port Sulphur first lol.

Seems like a lot of cities to work in as a meteorologist. Is it hard for him to keep a job for long?

Most TV people trade cities like they change their drawers. You start small and work your way up to the bigger markets every few years. Some people will find a niche and stay in the same market by starting low on the totem pole doing weekend and fill in by work. They gradually make it to the top in the bigger markets.
With the way station groups have gotten so large, it is almost like the baseball farm system where you might start off at a group station or team in BFE, and work there for a few years, next stop a little larger city maybe one with 2 Walmarts. From there, you may go to even larger city with a mall, etc.
This can also help in developing and determining one’s strengths weaknesses. Maybe someone went to school thinking they were the next Walter Cronkite, but turns out they are destined for a sales or station management position behind the scenes.
There is an old adage that gets tossed around is it better to be a big fish in a big pond or big fish in a little pond.
Some times people are anchored by their spouse, let’s say your spouse gets an unbelievable job offer in Atlanta, so you leave your one horse town in the hopes of getting a job there.
Some people do faulter and head down instead of up.

This could get interesting.
It's their shared home.
