Don't know if just best way to manage Christmas with wife and not see gf
He saw here coming back and forth on work trips, so probably planned ahead of time since work trips may have not been happening during Christmas/New Years.

That call from him when he was pretending to be at the Eiffel Tower was rich. How does one explain such a bizarre activity? Wasn't that the same time and the candle deal for Laci when she was still missing?

I'm having a hard time believing they have credible witnesses who claim to have seen Laci after he left to take his boat to the water. They might be incredible witnesses.

As an avid golfer and fisherman, deciding between the two is a weekend activity sometimes changing my mind on the way to do the other.
So, sometimes when you are on your way to the golf course, you cut a U and go fishing?

Reading the messages defending SP as being not guilty is disheartening because they illustrate the level of critical thinking that some people bring into the voting booth.

In a boat you just bought when you told your mistress your wife was dead when she wasn’t?
With a pair of pliers with your wife’s hair entangled in them?
In a bay 90 miles away from your house?
Where your wife’s body washed up?
In the same top she was wearing the day before and you were home with her the day before?
It’s pretty wild anyone has doubt

The one thing I can't wrap my head around is how did he hide her body in that small boat? They had people say they saw him launch and on the water and there was nothing in the boat. I don't get it.

Dude just randomly bought a boat a few weeks earlier and didn't even bother to unpackage the lures he bought for "fishing." By all accounts he wasn't an avid fisherman and this was an unknown to everyone that knew him, he didn't tell anyone he bought a boat.
It’s amazing he could kill her without leaving any evidence at all, yet this was the means to dispose of the body.
Why not launch somewhere you could drive the body on the water for miles and miles. I guess he didn’t have much boating experience, but it couldn’t have been the first time he used the boat right? A 14ft boat with a 15hp in good conditions can go 15-20mph, kinda funny he drove 90 miles to launch the boat but the body was found just 1-2 miles from the boat ramp.

He removed the head, arms, and legs. It wouldn’t be that hard to have the body in a duffel on the bottom of the boat with just a couple life jackets or something on top. That wouldn’t look out of place at all.

There is literally no other person that could or would have put her body in the same location as his very alibi for the day she went missing.
Somebody could have kidnapped her, kept her alive for a while, then dumped her body in the bay when they heard what his alibi was.
Way more likely he's guilty as hell though

That I thought of too but where is the blood evidence? They found none in the house? I know they said it smelled like bleach but how do you hide that much blood if he did dismember her? Its driving me crazy. I'm starting to wonder if Amber Frey hadn't come out and admitted to the affair if a jury would have found reasonable doubt.

Should be a luminol DNA treasure trove

I think her body came apart in the water, possibly due to weights attached.
Their house had a garage. He could have smothered her or drowned her and easily got her into his vehicle undetected and had her covered up in the boat.

Netflix the DOJ profile expert though it would have been soft killing aka smothered
She wasn't that big I think so maybe he was able to dump her whole in that tiny boat

She was only about 5'1" I believe. I think he could have gotten her into the garage and into his vehicle. He could have drug her out on a sheet or a rug, for instance, if he couldn't carry her, but I think he could have wrapper her up and carried her.

What I want to reconcile is how that boat did ok in that water with her body whole
Close to Alcrataz I is choppy AF - to the point they thought escapees would drown

Lucky I guess. Why take that boat into choppy waters at all if you can't put much of anything in it other than yourself?

Right which makes zero sense for him to make that his alibi. I think he’s an absolute sociopathic womanizer but there’s zero evidence he did it. The innocence Project found 2 reliable witnesses that the police never followed through with that saw Laci after he left to go fishing which blows up their whole timeline
So, out of all the houses in California some killer selected the Petersons house (they had to make sure she was pregnant) killed her, used concrete anchors, had a boat, knew when she would be alone because her husband was in San Diego with dyed hair, his brothers passport, 10K, visiting family.
Yeah, he didnt do it.

It wasn’t whole. The experts said he likely removed the head, arms, and feet prior to putting it in the water. It sounds like it was very very badly decomposed so they couldn’t say 100%, but what are the chances all 5 are off?
They also said they the baby was not as poorly decomposed and it’s very likely that the baby came out of the mom shortly before washing onshore.
