You sure do make a lot of spelling errors: like spelling "nurse anesthetist" as "anesthesiologist"

It’s still there loud and proud.

I don't think he edited it out--that's what he said on page 5 way earlier in the argument and the post is still there. LINK
It seems like Beaumont was just responding to earlier posts as well as the latest (edited) one.

It’s legible though.

The docs in my group do some of their own cases and medically direct CRNAs, meaning one MD can supervise up to four CRNAs at once. An MD evaluates every patient prior to surgery. We are present for induction and any other critical part of the case. Also an MD is present when the patient is in the recovery unit. The CRNAs here do not do cardiac cases and do not place epidurals. We supervise them placing spinals.
We operate under the anesthesia care team model, meaning the CRNA sits in the room after the patient is asleep or spinal is in, but the anesthesiologist is always available to be called in for any concerns of the surgeon or the CRNA. Anesthesia is thankfully very safe in this day and age, but serious and deadly complications can arise due to the anesthetics or surgery. For the most past the MDs and the CRNAs work well together. There is no place for egos when a patient is doing poorly for any reason.

No one refuted any of those above statements.

What are you babbling about now?
Posted on 4/20/19 at 11:53 pm to BeaumontBengal
Not babbling about anything man. Your explanation on your groups practice was insightful and respectful to both professions.

Looks like he's just describing how ACT works to the guy that asked what he does. Pretty reasonable description.
We know you don't work in an ACT practice, as you have stated.

Nurses and teachers are the worst. People dying everywhere and kids are stupid as ever. All they do is complain and fail at their jobs

He's in for a rude awakening when he fricks up (not if) and his nurses throw him under the bus.
Someone needs to learn to play nice and remember hospital adminstration recognizes nursing retention is an issue.
I am not a nurse.

I was just wondering if his pager went off nonstop when he was on call.

They're only mad because it's true

Nursing is and will always be a respected profession. Nursing isn’t what it used to be as far as competing to get into school. I lost count on the number of baws I’ve spoken to and their wife or gf is in nursing school or about to start. It’s been watered down big time the past 10 yrs or so.

The senator has a point. Just got taken out of context. I don’t know if they’re playing cards all day, but they spend an inordinate amount of time on a computer. They’re not slackers, but it ain’t like they’re high liners after a storm trying to get the power back on

I wont bother with a lot of hot air, I'll just say that nurses are one of the professional groups that does not get the respect it deserves. That goes for a lot of people that work along the medical tree. Doctors get the glory, but the professionals around them make the wheels keep spinning.

Yeah I just looked and you are correct...most of his posts are from the Poli board. No one as intelligent as an MD is gonna spend a considerable amount of time on the poli board
