We just donated our 2 1/2 year old $1000 plus LG HE machine to our church thrift store. We can thank the federal government for these pieces of junk. They put out a puddle of water to wash in and do not get your clothes clean. This LG was number one in CR a few years ago. It was always going out of balance then reprograming to start over so a half hour wash would sometimes take two hours.
After studying washers for over a week we ordered a Speed Queen. It does not have a Diamond Glass top but fills to the top of the tub and has an agitator that gets your clothes clean. It is built like a tank. My wife loves it!

Mine does this every freaking time. I've never been so mad at a simple inanimate object before. Will NEVER buy LG again.

Love my Samsung HE. Has never gone out of balance once. Haven't had the first issue.

It is sad to spend that kind of money and then find out once again the government regulations have screwed you. When you are ready to trash it just Google Speed Queen reviews and videos. They have one video that compares the Speed Queen vs Maytag. The Maytag is full of plastic.

I researched speed Queens too recently and came to the same conclusion.

CR rates then very low based solely on water use.

I plan on getting one soon.

You will have that Speed Queen for 20 years too. Good Buy.

A Speed Queen is a modern version of the old Maytags and Whirlpools. They use a lot of power and water but man they do the job.

(I'm going to have to stop recommending them here, as once I start selling them in the fall it will violate advertising rules, but I will say they are they best you can get)

You will,

You will

When the problem does happen MAKE SURE THEY USE THE SPRINGS FROM THE 2015 bulletin and not the stock springs or the problem will return.

Because I did not want to smell like you. Glad the Samsung is working out for you. The Speed Queen is made in the USA, so I must get some credit for that.

Hey Napoleon,

got any insider tips on keeping a front loaders front seal free from that black mold crap?!

My LG did the same thing with the balance when it was less than a month old. LG sent out a repair man who replaced a circuit board and it hasn't given the out of balance error in 2 years.

Never had a problem with my LG. cost the same. Your wife does love it, especially when I give it to her on the spin cycle.

wash it with vinegar and water and run cleaner in your machine once a month. Affresh works pretty good, a heavy dose of bleach does good too (applied into the tub directly)

Generally the mold building up really bad could be a sign that the air vent is blocked. Pretty much every front loader I have ever seen has had some black on that seal, the ones that don't are people who clean constantly or keep the door open to the washer. (which you shouldn't have to do because they have a vent) Another thing is to make sure the machine is level and that water runs away from the door and quickly down the seal and doesn't build up there.

I recommend Speed Queen, but my current machines are LG. I like to change my appliance out often though. I generally get them for free and the free LG matching set trumped my old set. Speed Queens are great, but I'm cheap.
