I was thinking "when in doubt..." but was wondering the OT consensus.

That’s tough. Business casual does not include a tie. You could just dress business casual and add a tie? No coat.

Tie with no coat is awful.

Actually I like the other suggestion better of just a sport coat and no tie. Go with that. You will look sharp.

So if coat is not an option (Got one, needs altering, and yes I need to buy one/get altered), tie alright?

Find out what the normal attire for the job that you are applying for looks like and dress one level more formal for the interview.

Who request “business casual” in an interview?

Anyway, if you are from BR I’m sure you’ll look really dapper in your Jo A Banks sports blazer you got on a bogo deal

If you go tie and shirt no coat, just go full Dwight Shrute.

Not from BR. But probably true for Macon as well.

People that work in an office?

OP, don't wear a tie. If you don't have a jacket (how does a grown man not have a sports coat?) just wear slacks and a button down. Or if you have a nice pull over type deal you could get away with that if it's cool (not a black northface).

Take the OT advice. I’m sure you’ll crush the interview. Cheers

Got one. Doesn't fit quite perfect.

Agreed about my ineptness tho
