If hitler hadn’t stopped at the doorstep to Moscow because of his hard on to defeat Stalingrad then he would have conquered Russia and then he would have had all the resources needed.
He could have concentrated his efforts on China and Middle East essentially linking Italy, Japan, and Germany into 1 large group that no other country could stop.
Maybe I'm just an idiot, but doesn't the internal resistance play a part against this assumption? Conquering and then holding control of this vast region are two different things. Do we just assume that those soldiers remaining would have turned and fought with full force along side of their conquerors?
That may be a stupid question but I'm ignorant, so it is what it is. I just don't see how Germany would have had the manpower to hold and operate in that large of an area and still stay on the offensive in other areas.
I guess I should have played more RISK when I was a kid.

We would have been in World War II with or without Pearl Harbor.

Had Hitler maintained his pact with Russia and had Midway gone differtly, we would live in a very different world.
Yep. If Russia was not on our side we don't win.
The efforts of the Chinese are also severely understated. If nothing else they kept the Japanese busy

Getting slaughtered at Midway would not have changed the outcome of the Pacific war. It would have only delayed the inevitable.
And frankly, if Hitler had put Germany on a full war economy from the beginning and allowed his Generals free hand he likely would have beat the Soviets.

There should have been.
germans could have had jets sooner.
Pacific naval battles turned on random things like shooting down plane of admiral, us finding fleet.
Eastern front decisions not great.
So sure.
Random fog of war stuff plus 2nd guessing = axis win.
