Even in the 90’s I’d tape KLOL sometimes when they’d play a full album of Zep or something with no commercials.

CD’s were still like 20 bucks and no Internet.

Of course.

I was a huge Van Halen and metal fan. But also had George Michael and Al B Sure on the Alpines just in case I needed some extra juice.

This is me - born in 67 graduated from HS in 85, college in 89, married in 95. Wouldn’t trade a minute of it for anything in the world.

Land of the lost. Dukes of hazard. The A team. The smurfs. MTV, actual videos. Sanford and son. Night court. Cheers. Dallas, yes, I watched it. Falcon crest. The hulk. Magnum PI. The love boat. Gilligan’s island. Three’s company. Family ties. Eight is enough. WKRP in Cincinnati. Welcome back Kotter. The 80s was awesome. I could go into movies, but that would just be cheating.

Yeah, this is my childhood. My username was from an 80s TV show me and my cousin were obsessed with.

Bingo. Hell I forgot about MTV…the advent of music videos.

All of that.

Heather Thomas. Oh lord.

I’m not the kind to kiss and tell but I’ve been seen with Farrah…
I’ve never been with anything less than a nine…so fine..
I’ve been on fire with Sally Fields…
Gone fast with a girl named Bo…

That’s as far as I have off pure memory.

Colt Seavers man. My first vehicle was an old school, early 80s GMC Sierra. I wish I still had that truck.

I'd say 1955-1965 would have been best. I was a kid in the 80s and 90s. The 80s were quite good though.

Understood but I included arguments to state my case. Give me a counter as to why another decade is better.

For example, say “ yeah but in the 2000’s we get to fap to internet porn”. That’s a legit argument.

I don't argue any era is better than the other. I argue whatever era you grew up, given that everything is new and life is simple, for most, that you will consider that the best time to grow up.

Thought we were talking about the 80s?

We sure as shite had guns, we just kept em on the rack in the truck in the school parking lot.

Hell, we'd duck hunt at dawn and drive straight to school.

...and AIDS was a thing, just not ours cuz we gloved tf up.

Nope; people prone to nostalgia and glory days are just the ones who talk about their pasts the most. And we get downvoted if we remember some other aspects of the era.
