Anthony Kedis banging the chief of police’s 14 year old daughter was probably the end of things.

It’s been a while since I read Scar Tissue, so I may have mixed up some facts there.

Everyone talking about how legendary The Warehouse on Tchop was, but I’d say the Walmart next door gave us the true musical classic:

Seemed like every major band touring in the 70s and 80s played BR. Kinda surprised at the OP's question. Have times changed that much?

As for LSU concerts, the LSU yearbook Gumbo will include those.

To list 'em all would read like a who's who of great bands. I'm trying to think of a popular band in that era that didn't play SE LA. Maybe ELP?

As others have mentioned Skynyrd was on their way to BR from SC when their plane ran out of fuel and crashed near the Amite / Pike Co line in MS. Zeppelin was scheduled to play the Super Dome when their drummer (John Bonham) died.

ZZ top had an early gig there as something of a house band.

Uuhmm, that would be the Allman brothers sport

Billy G. wants to know if you're gonna let him stay out all night?

Mellow Down Easy (beginning at the 7:00 mark)

Top's album Fandango had a live side and a studio side. The live side was recorded at the Warehouse mid-70s.

BR was their 4th to last show with Sid. Dallas, Tulsa and Winterland Arena in San Francisco were the shows after the Baton Rouge show.

Then in 96 the original four reunited for 6 month tour. Again in 2003 and sporadically until their last show Sept 5 2008. Somewhere around 120 shows or so after BR.

The concert was to be Oct 21 and the crash happened at about 6:52pm on Oct 20th. Did it take that long for news to circulate?

From 67 to 75, Independence Hall near the State Capitol had a lot of great bands. Hendrix, Sabbath, Skynryd, the Animals, the Zombies, Alice Cooper, James Gang, Black Oak Arkansas, the Guess Who, Nugent, ZZ Top, Fleetwood Mac, REO Speedwagon, King Crimson, New York Dolls, BTO, BOC, Kiss, Golden Earring, Steely Dan all played there.

Here’s a link to a TD thread with posters from many of the shows

If those sites are accurate there's a lot of history in them. Thanks for those.

Superdome being out ot commission is hurting
For example Guns N’ Roses played superdome last tour and now they are playing Minute Maid houston and Biloxi instead in a much smaller venue
New Orleans easily would have been that stop
Same thing with Taylor swift
