Didn't he declare war on Poseidon and have his army repeatedly stab and throw their spears into the ocean?

or was he driven mad by the need for revenge, for living in a kill or be killed world? Just something I was pondering.

Wasn't he a product of incest? If so, i would say that has more to do with his bloodlust and lunacy than revenge.

I tend to agree. Like making his horse (Incutatus - great name for a horse) a Senator was a complete troll move in my opinion. It was more saying to the Senators that a horse could do their job than him thinking his horse was a proper fit for the Senate.

That is of course if you believe the records we have of him. Suetonious is mostly tabloid trash. Very entertaining though.

Holland’s Dynasty is great.

is he nuts or does he have an overwhelming desire to wreak havoc on the society and culture that destroyed his family?

I don't think those 2 things are mutually exclusive.

Is he the one whose mother tried to kill him so he kept trying to kill her and she kept surviving?

Like she was poisoned, but she was immune to it, the had her ship sunk, but she swam to shore.
I think he eventually just had her executed.

Crazy shite

That was Caligula’s nephew, Nero. Nero’s mom, Agrippina the Younger, was Caligula’s sister.
