My wife (an attorney) started out thinking he was executed, but that was after seeing only the first video. She softened a lot after seeing the second video and is now fully in agreement that the cops were fully justified in perceiving an imminent threat.
This is the general feeling I get. Pretty ironic that the store owner was probably filming to get "police brutality" on camera, but will end up being the evidence to let them walk.

I'm sure the left will say Sir Alton lord of the CD and rape was just trying to surrender his weapon to the officers when he was gunned down.
Nah, the talking point is BUT IT WASN'T IN HIS HAND ERMAHGHERD!?! Because apparently people never conceal a weapon that they later pull out to shoot a cop.

Yep, and now Deray is begging to leave the state. I don't think he is going to want to come back.
I doubt the Panthers want to come back either after they got beat down.
the locals will holler for a day and then claim they shut down the mall of la.

Oh frick you. Seriously. We can all pull up a bunch of stories where police disarmed people and we can also pull up stories where a guy pulled a gun and killed a police officer. Your story proves dick.
BTW, why not bring up the story where they previously disarmed Alton? If they set out to kill him, why not that time? I can tell you this, stick a gun in your pocket and start pulling it on cops. You may survive once or even twice but you will get dead as Jesus eventually and no one will cry for you.

No, they made that up
BULL-frickING-shite. The 2nd video that was released clearly shows one of the cops pull the gun from his pocket after the shooting stopped.

All I'm saying is how can we use him having a gun as justification for being shot, when cops have shown that they can disarm people without killing them

Jesus isn't dead though. At least not the Lord I worship.

Because it is up to the officer to perceive the danger and make the choice of whether or not to use lethal force.
Once the threshold for lethal force is met it is the officers choice of using that level of force or not.

I hope they dig into store owners financials while they're at it. If I had to bet, they'd find some EBT/ SNAP fraud, amongst other things.

The Court also stated that the use of force should be measured by what the officer knew at the scene, not by the "20/20 vision of hindsight" by a Monday-morning quarterback.

Also the store owner should be looking at some charges, if the rumors of his lies are true.
I seriously believe that he was hoping for rioting and looting so he could collect a nice fat insurance check when his store got burned to the ground.
When that didn't happen, Plan B - sue the city.
Either way, the slimebag is looking for a payday.

Because all situations, guns, and people are the same

And neither did the cat on the west bank, he killed the cop first.

Think about your job, whatever it is.
Think about the most absolutely terrible thing that could happen during your average work day.
If needed, depending on your job, add in that this terrible thing could send you to jail for decades.
Now.....ask yourself if you would unnecessarily initiate this terrible thing that might ruin your life while at work.
