Why not? Its not like the kinds of people who are swayed by these posters will be flying jets. They'll be the ones swabbing decks and cleaning toilets. Remember when the Navy set up recruiting booths outside of theaters playing Top Gun?

My BIL is a formwe Naval aviator. If you made a movie about him and his friends it would be Revenge of the Nerds not Top Gun. When they made a foreign port call their first order of business was setting up a secure network in the hotel so they could play computer games.

Don't know if this is true of all aviators in the Navy but it's definitely the case for my cousin. I don't think he ever got laid in college, and I'm not so sure that Pensacola is being any kinder to him.
