Ifound out recently you can put handfuls of change in the self check out machines. You just lift the coin slot up. I do this when I have ashtray change I want to get rid of. Rather than Coinstar.

Cool, thanks for the tip.

I go to the Coinstar website and find a Coinstar location that has Amazon gift cards.

My local WalMsrt doesn’t have any Trin’s who work there. Zero. It would blow most of your minds how it looks and operates.

The guy talking in the video sounds like the Parks and Rec guy with the mustache

Why can't he/she (I think it's a she) just count the change? Do your job.

Honestly anyone bringing $8 in change to a guy making minimum wage is a dick. I highly doubt he couldn’t count it. He just didn’t want to. I wouldn’t have counted it because the guy was blatantly baiting a response.

Wonder how many counters he plunked that pile of quarters and dimes on before he got the video he wanted.

Yep. This is just some shitbag rage bait troll fricking w/people who have low level jobs that can't tell them to frick off b/c they can't afford to be fired. Pure trash.

The fact that people here are falling for it and siding w/the "customer" is sad as hell.

The customers are way dumber. Half the employees are dumb just as you say, though, including management. There’s a lot of great workers there, though.

Walmart policy is you can't film in the store. He incorrectly claimed she was in public. This gives her every right to refuse service and ask him to leave. She should call the cops and have the prick tresspassed.

A few weeks ago my 12 year old nephew came over and I had several rolls of quarters.... I called him to catch it because I was giving him one, he caught it and asked "what is this?" I told him he could have it.. He was looking at it and he said "no what does it do?". I told him it was a roll of quarters... $10. I asked if he didn't see the quarters and he looked at it and was like "oh yeah! These are quarters?". He looked at them, set them down and forgot them. He didn't put it in his pockets, he had no interest whatsoever. He never seen a roll of coins.. I thought he was joking at first.

Man, quarters used to be almost as good at dollar bills back in the day, I put them in my crown royal gambling bag. Lunch at school used to be $0.75. My mom would give me $5 for the week and that was $1.25 in quarters that I put in my gambling sack. I would have been pumped if someone gave me a roll of quarters..

These new people will not be able to function if it all goes to shite.

I try to avoid low iq people but WalMart is the one place I do go. The majority of their customer base is just as low iq as the employees. If you ever want to feel better about yourself go to a WalMart. You will see the most obese disgusting people there that society offers.

My wife had to go to Walmart once because there was something she couldn’t find anywhere else. Kids were with her and after being in store for a few minutes one of them said, “Mom, what’s wrong with the people in here?”

I go there from time to time when I need to go it, get it and check out because its closest to me, but on the way there I really get an angry feeling. And my rule is within an hour of them opening, within an hour before closing. Or Sundays before 10AM. Its amazing how one store can have the dirtiest fricking people and it seems to be every location.

It has to do with what the cashier looks like.

What’s the point of this? Just want to show the world you’re a viral a-hole? Leave that person alone. Oh they’re not as respectful as you’d like? Boo fricking hoo. Not every person younger than you is gonna kiss your arse.

You’re bullying a fricking minimum wage gas station clerk. You feel like a big man? Right or wrong doesn’t matter. People obviously don’t have anything better to do with their time than argue with a gas station clerk over coins.

I can understand your perspective, and it makes sense. I guess I did fall for it.

If you are going to pay with change, I guess the best thing to do is be polite and apologize for the inconvenience and perhaps even help count out the change yourself.

***

On the other hand, is paying with change morally wrong or against any store rules?

Maybe this isn't just rage bait and the cashier flat out refused to do their job by taking payment, the customer asked for the manager, and the cashier again refused to call the manager, so the customer started recording.

I'm having difficulty seeing how the cashier's actions are defensible given the possible scenario I described above.

Help me out, folks...

I rarely go into Wal-Mart anymore, but several years ago I decided to get some deli meat while I was in one and the person doing the cutting didn't know what 3/4's of a pound was.

So instead of simply taking 15 seconds to explain to them what you’re needing, you just mocked them and like to tell that story.

A chunk of our society is so messed up. It’s like you enjoy seeing others struggle or fail at anything. Even something as little as this. God forbid you help a stranger out.

If I ever pay with quarters I’ll hand them four at a time. If you pay with something smaller than quarters then you need a life.
