They have already done this here. My wife is a NP and worked at a clinic in Walmart in Hammond a few years ago. The company was based out of Florida started by the guy who invented the swatch watch. It failed miserably due to poor mgmt. I guess another company is going to make a run at it.

Checkups was the name of the company. They were in Walmart stores in Florida. Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana.

that's actually pretty good.

I have gone to the CVS clinic before, it wasn't that much either. Not bad when you just need an antibiotic or something and don't want to pay a lot to see a doctor.

I think they need to add churches and funeral services too.

Then you could pray or get medical treatment or die and it is all covered.

I'm not too crazy about having to walk through a bunch of sick folks to go buy groceries. Seems like a place that sells food would not be a great place for a clinic.

You don't think sick people are already going to the Walmart Pharmacy??

Yea, cause dr don't deserve fat paychecks. Why should they be the ones driving nice cars and living in mansions? It's complete bullshite, right?

Somebody asked earlier whether if somebody were mis-treated and died they would be able to get a refund. Per Wal-Mart policy, as long as you had the body and your receipt, you could stand in line at the customer service center and get a refund or store credit.

Hasn't worked out for them in most places. Starts out OK. Then people realize they are getting shite service and care. And then overcharged for their prescriptions. Don't know why NP's are soooo appealing. If you have a copay, it's the same whether you see an MD or a NP. I think it's bullshite they can do it then funnel rx's into their own pharmacy. It's illegal for me too. Either way, we'll keeping whipping their asses at our game.
