where I live the Walmart produce is MUCH better than the Winn-Dixie produce

it might be, we don't get our produce from either one of them because they're so bad. We rarely get anything from either one of them and I know we spend more at Rouses but I am not going there for the cheapest prices.

I'm not prissy, the people are just the fricking worst in there. It's depressing.

This

Where I live, there are no other choices, other than Dollar General, within 20 miles, so I go to Walmart.

They open at 6 am. I try to always get there before 9 am on Saturday morning and get everything I need for the week. Our liquor stores don't open until 10 am, otherwise I would go earlier.

If I can get in and out before 10 am on Saturday, it is not too bad. I know where everything is. I'd don't linger. The aisles are usually not crowded.

On the rare occasion where I've had to go later in the day or during the week, yes, it sucks.

I can pretty much shop anywhere I want.. I love Walmart.. prices great.. find items I want.. checkout a snap with the massive number of self checkout lines.. I tend to smile a lot for some reason.. I never noticed it but friends do… I noticed people in Walmart always smiling back at me and often people make friendly small talk..

I love Sam’s and Costco also and have the same experience..

I'm not prissy about going there, but I refuse to go there during peak hours. Too many people, especially this time of year. Having the ability to go buy motor oil, groceries, supplements, shampoo, a box of shells, a new TV, and medications at 3am is one of the most American, freedom-loving things ever, and it kept you from having to wade through mountains of people.

What pisses me off is that Walmart hasn't gone back to 24hr operations. Those assholes made record profits during covid and since that time my local stores are open fewer hours, the stocking sucks and I routinely see busted up stuff or shelves that appear to have been stocked by a child, choices and offerings are worse, customer service is worse, their online availability display as to what is in the store often does not match what's in the store, and the store isn't as clean as it used to be.

I mean this pretty much sums it up. The place is trashy AF and although I like to buy a garden hoe and a dozen eggs at the same time, the service is awful.

I had no time to go to the Walmart so I ordered my stuff online. But Walmart chooses the store that is closest to you... Doesn't matter if the store has your items in stock or not. You get an email that lets you know that items are out of stock and will not be fulfilled.. So you are SOL.. But other stores have all of your items in stock and they don't move your order to the other store to be fulfilled. I called the CS number and the guy was very helpful and had the items delivered no fees applied because I had paid the delivery fees on the original order.. I did have to bring that up to make sure I wasn't double charged on the delivery fees.

Some items I will go to Walmart for because they are much cheaper. Motor Oil, Dog Food etc

I also avoid the afternoon peak times.

The self checkout sucks when you have a lot of items too.

Many things found at Wal Mart can be found cheaper other places.

This is simply not true. Walmart is able to get lower prices because of scale. You can maybe find an example or two, but you will be wrong on at least 90% of items when looking at exact comparisons.

I have shopped in Wal Mart. It doesn't rank high on my list of favorite things to do but I will do it if I need to. Curbside became my preferred shopping method when I injured my knee. My 81 year old parents use it too. For the elderly and disabled, not walking around a crowded store for an hour is a blessing.

Costco seems to have superior products IMO.

I don't normally grocery shop there, in fact I don't grocery shop there, but if I'm going to smoke ribs they usually have decent ribs and decent prices, if I'm in there I may pick up an item or two that I need, as far as their groceries their prices may seem cheaper at first look but most everything I look at comes in smaller quantities than at the places I normally shop, less variety too

When Walmart was here, I didnt usually buy groceries there but did buy almost all household goods there, which were cheaper than alternatives.

OTC meds, cleaning products, box fan, fishing stuff, etc.

Where my butler decides to shop is really nothing I concern myself with as long as he gets what I need.

Did you have an actual response? Or do you know you're just spouting bullshite and can't back it up and want to deflect from that fact?
