They’ll be fine without you. A franchisee losing his cool at home has nothing to do with the restaurant.
I bet you are just an angel at home.

It's about how the kids are raised.

Riff Raff does riff raff things. Last year we had the fat Sheniquaalaquanlatisha stealing buckets of candy at a time.

Hoosier kids will also lack the respect to take one, they will riff raff, and take whole bucket.

Riff Raff does riff raff things.

Would you want someone running one of your franchises who goes off the handle on kids taking Halloween candy, causing him to run to social media and having a ridiculous diatribe about future criminal activity and murder?

Regardless of any public reaction, I would have let that guy go

This is pretty much how I'm feeling.

I wouldn't fire him because of his offending anyone. I'd fire him for using such poor judgement.

You can be pissed off at little shite kids without making some broad statement on culture. You can be upset about parents not raising their kids right without painting a picture of their future criminal activity, gang involvement, and subsequent imprisonment/murder.

I mean it read like a questionable OT post. He may as well have posted the stupid arse "dindu nuffin" meme to cap it off.

Just a bad move all the way around.

Apparently the SJW way is to destroy a productive citizens business and livelihood. They don’t get how many people will be negatively affected if these restaurants close. Not because they were particularly good, but people’s jobs are on the line.

They will find someone else to buy the franchise, but this isn't about some SJW bullshite.. It's about smart business. And owning a franchise you are representing a brand. It's called brand management.

That post will be taken a certain way by some people and since you are guilty by association, Walkons decided not to associate with someone who will be perceived in a certain way that could damage their brand.

This is what it all comes down to. It blows my mind that some of you don't get this. It's not some SJW non sense, its fricking business. If the dude was so concerned about his job he should be aware that if you post shite like that, it would not be a good look at all.

The kids were wrong. Their kids for Christ’s sake. It’s a bowl of candy. I don’t think it’s a big deal. I certainly don’t think it means they’re going to be violent criminals, shot and killed, and their grandmother wearing an airbrush T-shirt to their funeral. We don’t know where the parents were. Most parents stand in the street when their kids go up to door steps. They were a bit older than 5 to 7. More like 8 to 10. Kids of all races have been taking more than one candy from a bowl that has been left out since trick-or-treating started. But for some reason half of the posts in this thread is behind this man and his racist views.

You were so close until that last sentence. It’s hard for you to see anything but race.

Are we still pretending his post wasn’t about race?

He mentioned airbrush t shirts at funerals and calling someone Auntie

Because there are white people everywhere with their auntie and spray paint RIP tshirts it does make it difficult to figure out what he is trying to say.

Like I said, he didn't technically say the words "Halloween" or "trick or treat" either, so I don't know how everybody figured it out.

Do you really expect people to believe that the post that guy made on Facebook was not about race? Please. That is some kinda mental gymnastics there. Even with all the support this guy has in this thread, they are probably less than five people who don’t think his post was about race. You are in a select few. Far end of the bell curve. Unfortunately, the far left of the curve. And by left, I don’t mean politically.

You know jack shite about business. Or about anything really.

This wasn’t some big public racial tirade. You let it blow over and ignore the inflated social media lynch mob and they‘ll move on to the next outrage. If the business is making money, that’s the bottom line.

Some people will patronize it, some people (who might not have gone there regardless), won’t.

Kowtowing to these types doesn’t work because it only emboldens them. They sense weakness and seize on it and will demand more and more.

Just ignore them, hold your ground, and they’ll forget about it.

I think a lot of people, not just raging sjws, think going from taking extra Halloween candy, to talking about a life of crime and funerals with airbrushed t shirts and auntie crying is pretty racist

Probably my favorite OT-ism is when posters drop every black stereotype in the book and then call people racist for assuming they were talking about black people.

So these are always and only a black thing to you? All blacks do these, and only blacks do these.

Do you know any blacks outside of BR or what you see on TV?

Or, just shut the frick up and keep your opinions to yourself so you don't risk alienating any potential patrons. Why run that risk, especially on such a useless social media post?

It reminds me of the "Republicans buy shoes, too" retort Michael Jordan gave when people criticized him for not being more politically active. Just shut up.
