The manager comes out, apologizes, and promises to rush our order. It still takes another 10 minutes to get the food. The manager then tells me that he was going to take 15% off the final bill due to the inconvenience.
It was only a total bill of about $20, but that is bullshite. "Making it right" to me would have been comping the meal. This, coupled with general crappy experiences there prior to this one, was the last straw. Haven't been back.

When your server takes your order, clocks out, and forgets to turn the order in, that is pretty egregious. I went in late on a work night, which was on me, but I have a reasonable expectation that my order will at least be placed and I can get out in a timely manner. The whole thing was very clusterfrick-ish.

Yeah 15% is a copout, especially given the circumstances. Either take the whole order off or don't do anything.

The only time I’ve walked out was at an outback in my hometown. We ordered the bloomin onion and then our meals. The onion wasn’t real hot when it came out, but that was fine. Then my steak came out. Cold. Not hot, not warm, not even lukewarm, but chilled. It was supposed to be a prime rib. I get that it is going to be pink but this hasn’t even been in the oven. I tell my waitress that it hasn’t been cooked. She goes off on me that a prime rib is supposed to look like that. I tell her I know, but this is a cold piece of meat. The manager came out to see what she was fussing about. I told him what happened after she walked off and he seemed to take her side. Even told him about the bad appetizer and he didn’t seem to care. After he left we dropped $20 to cover drinks and appetizer and left.

nah. i think it is just funny to watch people get upset and melt at people who disagree with them by calling them upset and melting.
