Because a bunch of ignorant people watched it. In India and SE Asia they are welcomed around villages. They eat the other venomous snakes like kraits and Russel's vipers that cause serious problems in rural areas. They are only aggressive when on the nest or seriously fricked with. We have king snakes, they have king cobras.

I think you meant longest poisonous snake in the world, but you threw python in their which isn't poisonous so I don't know what the frick you were thinking.

That's a really big arse snake. I'm scared shitless of them, but that cobra is pretty awesome. Get it s leash and make it a pet.
