She gave multiple anti-American radio broadcasts while she was over there. The name "Hanoi Jane" is a play on "Tokyo Rose".

At the SubVets building in CT there were 2 urinals. One of the urinals had a sticker in it with Jane Fonda's face and the words "Jane you ignorant slut".

I ALWAYS pissed in that one. Even if someone was pissing at that particular urinal and the other one was open I would wait... just so I could piss all over Jane Fonda's face.

Fonda, as well as the named POWs, have personally denied the rumors,[40] and subsequent interviews with the POWs showed these rumored allegations to be false as the persons named had never met Fonda.[42]
