Some people might say that about a coon arse.
Let me be clear I would spend a lifetime inventing new tortures for someone that fricked with one of my dogs but there are a billion Hindus that would freak out knowing I ate the longissimus dorsi out of Gaumata earlier, then fed the scraps to my dogs which will climb in the bed with me tonight.
As for the food safety issues ignorance is just ignorance even though it is just perpetuated by 1,000 years of belief hell people here are buying Alex Jone's toothpaste because it kills all Coronaviruses.
Also even in our perfect corner of the world there are restaurants that have kitchens that are Petri dishes of all manner of vile shite.
China has places like Wuhan and the US has places like West Virginia the meth zombies just haven't broken out yet.

And yes, there are plenty of other options than that shite in China. To act as if it’s just poor people trying to get along is complete bullshite. I get when you’re starving having to eat a dog, or cat, rat, or bat, or whatever it takes to live, but those people were not starving, and that place was filthy nasty. The conditions are significantly much more abhorrent to me than the fact of what they were preparing.
